Rudolf Jelínek Moravská meruňka is a pure liquor and is characteristic by sweet aroma of apricots with light nuance of pits and delicate fruit flavor. Thanks to this flavor ladies develop a taste for it. The roots of the tradition of distillery industry in Vizovice we can track back to 16th century. The slivovitz was made of plums, so these and its product were naturally dominant. But already in 19th century some distilleries in Vizovice were occupied with production of apricot brandy. So RUDOLF JELÍNEK continues in long-time tradition and production procedures, which are together with the most modern technologies the guarantee of the highest quality.
The apricots flourished especially in the region of South Moravia from everlasting, so their processing to apricot brandy was a logical move. Today the apricot brandy is made by three-stage distillation of ripened apricot kvass. Just this method gives the apricot brandy of Jelínek its unique pureness and smoothness. The pits stay in kvass for whole time and give the final distillate its specific flavor of almonds. The flavor is mild and fruit – as the apricots themselves – thanks to aging process and traditional production methods.
