Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition represents an exceptionally luxurious take on Kentucky bourbon, blending American whiskey with the French traditions of cognac and crystal production. It is based on the complex Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which is then given additional character by finishing its aging in selected XO cognac barrels.

The barrels were selected by Master Distiller Chris Morris, and each had held cognac for three seasons before being filled with bourbon. The result is a blend of American and French oak notes with rich fruitiness, subtle spice, chocolate, caramel, and creamy sweet notes.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Deep dark brown.

Nose: A rich aroma of toasted oak with chocolate and cocoa, creamy vanilla, and hints of clove and cinnamon. Dried fruit and citrus zest emerge in the deeper layers.

Taste: Elegant vanilla, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and creamy caramel, complemented by more pronounced notes of malt and oak.

Finish: Velvety and long, with subtly spiced notes of caramel and mocha coffee.

Decanter and Packaging Design:

The uniqueness of this edition is underscored by a custom-designed Baccarat crystal decanter, whose silhouette is based on the iconic shape of the Woodford Reserve bottle. The decanter is adorned with the Woodford Reserve and Baccarat logos and is complemented by a separate crystal stopper featuring the Woodford Reserve initials.

The decanter is housed in a luxurious red Baccarat presentation box with hinged, multi-panel doors. The entire package is designed not only to protect the whiskey but also to serve as a prestigious collector’s item and gift. The appearance of this edition is also confirmed by the accompanying product photograph.

Upon its launch, the Baccarat Edition was presented as the first American whiskey bottled in a Baccarat crystal decanter.
