Product description

Lahofer St. Lorenz rosé 2024 is a fresh Moravian Kabinett wine from the Volné pole vineyard. It captivates with its attractive wild strawberry color, fruity aromas, and a pleasant balance of residual sugar and pronounced acidity. Thanks to its lower alcohol content, it has a light and refreshing character.

The grapes were harvested on September 10, 2024 at a sugar content of 19.8 °NM. The wine contains 24.6 g/l of residual sugar and 7.5 g/l of acidity, which allows it to retain a pleasant freshness despite its pronounced fruity sweetness.

Tasting Profile:

Color: A vibrant color reminiscent of wild strawberries.

Aroma: Fruity, with a pronounced note of wild strawberries and a subtle hint of lime.

Taste: Delicious and fresh, with notes of wild strawberries and lemon sorbet. The pleasant residual sugar is complemented by higher acidity, which lends the wine liveliness.

Finish: Fresh and refreshing, with a pleasant balance of fruitiness, sweetness, and acidity.

Recommended Serving:

Serve well-chilled at a temperature of 8 to 10 °C. Thanks to its light and fruity character, it’s perfect as a refreshing wine for warmer days, paired with light dishes, or enjoyed on its own.

About the LAHOFER winery:

The LAHOFER winery is one of the most important wineries in the Znojmo region and is named after Jan Lahofer, a native of Dobšice and an artistic woodcarver whose famous carved library is now part of the Strahov Monastery in Prague. It was the story of this local craftsman that inspired the winery to name its brand after him.

The company's roots date back to 2003, when it was founded in Znojmo as První znojemská vinařská a.s. The turning point came in 2006 after the completion of the new production facility in Dobšice, when the winery adopted the name LAHOFER.

LAHOFER produces wines from the main Central European varieties exclusively from its own vineyards in the Znojmo wine sub-region. It cultivates over 430 hectares of vineyards, including renowned sites such as Lampelberg, U Hájku, Babičák, and Volné pole, making it one of the largest grape growers in the Czech Republic.

The construction of a new representative headquarters in the U Hájku vineyard, completed in 2019, was also a significant milestone. The modern building with its characteristic "concrete wave" connects production, administration, and visitor facilities, including the LAHOtéka, tasting rooms, and a viewing terrace. The winery thus offers not only quality wines, but also a powerful experience of the place, architecture, and surrounding landscape.
