Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2015 is the 45th vintage of rosé champagne in the history of the House of Moët & Chandon. It was crafted from a harvest of exceptionally ripe red grapes, which lend the wine pronounced fruitiness, depth, and structure.

Pinot Noir plays the leading role in the blend, making up 52% of the cuvée, 14% of which is red wine. It is complemented by 27% Chardonnay and 21% Meunier. The champagne aged for 6 years in the cellars and for at least another 6 months after disgorgement. The dosage is 5 g/l, placing it in the extra brut category.

Tasting Profile:

Aroma: Dark fruit and spicy, with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, fig, wild strawberry, pink pepper, aromatic pepper, allspice, and floral garrigue.

Palate: Powerful, full-bodied, and multifaceted. Concentrated dark fruit is complemented by pronounced tannins, notes of blackthorn, cranberry, mint, and anise.

Finish: Fresh, spicy, and slightly bitter, with notes of blackthorn, cranberry, mint, and anise.

The aroma is darkly fruity, spicy, and pronounced. It opens with notes of sun-ripened berries—black currants, blackberries, and black cherries. Gradually, figs, wild strawberries, pink pepper, aromatic pepper, and allspice emerge. The whole is refreshed by a delicate floral hint of garrigue.

The palate is powerful, multi-layered, and distinctly influenced by the Pinot Noir grape. The fruit is concentrated, dark, and deep, while the tannins provide structure and tension. The finish is refreshed by sweetly bitter notes of blackthorn and cranberry, complemented by mint and anise.
