Dom Pérignon's creative ambition in creating vintage wine is to constantly seek harmony that awakens emotions. Dom Pérignon is driven by an unwavering determination to bear witness to the year's harvest, despite all kinds of obstacles. Even if, in the end, the vintage should not be declared at all.
Time is part of the Dom Pérignon equation. At least eight years of patient work are required to achieve the Dom Pérignon ideal. Inside the bottles stored in the dark cellars, each vintage undergoes a gradual transformation in conjunction with the yeasts to achieve the harmony that characterises the Dom Pérignon brand.
The 2013 vintage proved to be a welcome return to the glorious past of late vintages. After a cold and wet winter came a gloomy spring, quite cold and extremely rainy. However, it was followed by a hot and dry summer, which was particularly beneficial for the quality of the grapes.
SOURCE
The delicate aroma brings out a wide range of notes. From fresh eucalyptus, mint and vetiver, to mirabelles, apricots and orange blossom, to spicy notes of pepper, cardamom and liquorice. Toasty notes reverberate on the finish.
TASTE
The palate is elegant, expressing luxurious simplicity and precision. The first impression is absorbing and ethereal. The refined and silky base is more pronounced in the heart. The finish is dominated by a saltiness that leaves a deep sense of consistency.
