SKUNK is a brand of Danish sustainably produced rum. Within the brand, different versions are created, but they are united by the inspiration of Jamaica and local rum production processes. The different batches differ with regard to the use of different types of fermentation and distillation methods. Each of the rums thus has unique characteristics.
Long term fermentation, fermentation at high temperatures, bottling in high alcohol bottles, ... There are a variety of methods to achieve different flavour profiles. And these are the ones Bintu Singh wants to experiment with for his new rum brand SKUNK. The Batch 1 and Batch 2 batches are now joined by Batch 3, which differs from the others in the yeast used.
While wine yeast was added during fermentation for the first variant, the second batch is fermented with wheat beer yeast. SKUNK Rum Batch 3 then brings herbal notes into play thanks to the rosemary yeast used.
The rum is made in Denmark with organic Paraguayan molasses (the same used in the production of Sincere gin). It is bottled in 69,3 % recycled glass bottles. Sustainable paper labels indicate the batch and bottle number.
SKUNK Rum Batch 3, like its predecessors, has a distinctive aroma and strong flavour. It blends notes of flowers, green herbs, green apples, rosemary, pepper and citrus. The rum can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to intensify its flavour.
