Product description

Dictador Sinfonia Pardo 1999 from the Dictador Vintages Collection is a true gem of Colombian rum – a limited series of hand-selected barrels, personally approved by Hernan Parra, master blender and third generation of the famous Parra family. Each bottle in this collection is unique – only 10–15 barrels per edition, approximately 300 bottles per barrel.

Characteristics:

Dictador Sinfonia Pardo 1999 is not named after a piece of music by chance – just as an orchestra brings individual instruments together in harmony, this edition masterfully harmonizes notes of fruit, spice, wood, and chocolate into a velvety experience.

Tasting profile:

Aroma: Distinctive and layered – mango, toasted oak, coffee, black tea, a hint of ginger biscuits, molasses, cardamom, and pink pepper.

Taste: Rich and constantly evolving – Crepe Suzette, fig leaf, dates, delicate thyme, pineapple, tropical fruit, vanilla and a touch of yuzu.

Finish: Long and elegant with notes of sweet iced tea, white chocolate and bourbon oak.

Maturation:

This exceptional rum is aged in American oak barrels and finished in port and sherry casks, giving it a rich, layered flavor profile full of dark fruit, wood, and noble spices. Its velvety texture and long finish make it a gem for anyone looking for elegance and depth in a glass.

About the Dictador brand:

Dictador was born in Colombia, a country famous not only for its coffee but also for its ideal climate for aging rum. The result is a rum that appeals to collectors, lovers of rare editions, and connoisseurs of sophisticated flavors.

The Dictador brand draws inspiration from Sever Arangoya, nicknamed "El Dictador," a Spanish official who oversaw the rum trade in Cartagena de Indias, the commercial center of the Spanish colonial empire in the 18th century. It is after him that the brand is named, and it is here that the story of Dictador as a rum with authority began.

The modern era of Dictador began in 1913, when the family business of the same name was officially founded. Since then, Dictador rum has been produced with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and long aging, now led by renowned master blender Hernan Parra, who is the third generation of the Parra rum family.
