Product description

Bohemia Sekt non-alcoholic is a non-alcoholic sparkling wine with grape flavour, which offers an elegant solution for all occasions when you wish to stay alcohol-free and still enjoy the taste of real sparkling wine. Whether you're driving, expecting a baby or simply want to enjoy a festive moment with a clear head - this is the right choice.

Tasting profile:

Colour: This non-alcoholic sparkling wine is light greenish in colour.

Aroma: On first sniff, it impresses with a rich grape aroma with hints of citrus.

Taste: Balanced, with a slight acidity and residual sugar, creating a harmonious and refreshing impression.

Bohemia Sekt non-alcoholic is created using gentle vacuum alcohol removal, which preserves the maximum aroma and flavour characteristics of the original wine. The result is a non-alcoholic drink with typical sparkling bubbles that will delight any lover of elegance and quality.

We recommend serving it well chilled (2-4 °C), ideally on festive occasions, but also as a refreshing drink with lighter dishes or desserts. Thanks to its versatility, Bohemia Sekt non-alcoholic can be enjoyed anytime and anywhere - without compromise.

About the Bohemia Sekt brand:

The roots of the Bohemia Sekt brand go back to 1942, when the first sparkling wine matured in cellars in the heart of the Czech wine region. Since then, the brand has earned an exceptional position - today it is one of the largest producers of sparkling wine in the Czech Republic and is responsible for more than half of all sparkling wine drunk in the Czech Republic.

How Bohemia Sekt is created:

The basis of a quality sparkling wine is always an honest still wine. The most common way to create sparkling wine is to blend several varieties to create a cuvée. Each variety brings its own specific aroma and flavour, which is then reflected in the character of the resulting sparkling wine.

To the cuvée is added a tirage liqueur - a mixture of wine and sugar - and yeast, which starts a process called secondary fermentation. The resulting mixture is bottled, sealed with a crown cap and the bottle slowly gives birth to bubbles. The yeast converts the sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide is produced as a by-product. This is what gives the sparkling wine its delicate pearliness. This process takes five to six weeks.

The sparkling wine is then aged on the yeast lees - usually for 12 to 36 months, even longer for premium brands. During this time, its complexity and depth develop. Then comes remuage, when the bottles are gradually tilted neck down to allow the yeast lees to settle at the cork. The lees are then removed - a process known as degassing.

After decanting, the sparkling wine is topped up with expedition liqueur, closed with a cork stopper and secured with an agraffe - a typical wire basket.

Bohemia Sekt produces sparkling wine using two methods:

  • The traditional method (in the bottle) produces premium brands such as Bohemia Sekt Prestige, Chateau Radyně or the famous Louis Girardot, which was tasted by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.
  • The most popular Bohemia Sekt sparkling wines are produced using the charm method (in tanks) - ideal for everyday festive moments. The largest pressure vessel in Stary Plzenec can hold more than one million bottles of cuvée.
