Establishment: ArArAt brandy has been produced since 1887 by the Yerevan Brandy Company, one of the largest brandy producers in Armenia. ArArAt brandy is the proud bearer of the name of the majestic mountain where Noah's Ark landed. This mystical mountain is Armenia's most famous symbol. It is also home to some of the oldest vineyards in the world. The Yerevan Brandy Company has been producing ArArAt brandy for almost 130 years using a traditional recipe of Armenian white grapes and spring water. 

The Story: The name "Akhtamar" comes from an Armenian legend about the unfortunate love of Princess Tamar, which ended tragically with the death of her lover. This story is deeply rooted in Armenian culture and gives the brandy a unique identity.
