Poněšice Slivovitz is an excellent slivovice, the result of a unique collaboration between two Czech craft distilleries – The Poněšice Distillery and Garage22 – which joined forces to create something truly exceptional.

Characteristics:

The base is a classically distilled slivovice from The Poněšice Distillery, which is an honest expression of the fruity character of plums. Garage22 then came up with an unusual idea: they distilled the plum stones themselves, obtaining a distillate with subtle woody and almond tones. Combining both ingredients in a carefully selected ratio has resulted in a distillate that literally changes the rules of the game.

Poněšice Slivovitz offers a full fruity taste of plums with an unusual but perfectly balanced finish, in which subtle woody and stone fruit notes appear. The result is a deeper and rounder taste that lingers in the memory.

About the Poněšice distillery:

The Poněšice Distillery was founded in 2002 by Mr. Ledajaks Sr., who fulfilled his dream of creating something unique. From the very beginning, he focused on precision and technological development – over the years, he equipped the distillery with several of his own inventions, which ensure not only efficient production but, above all, the top quality of the spirits. In 2009, his daughter joined him in his work, followed by his nephew in 2021. Today, three generations work at the distillery, united by their love of the craft.

In 2020, the Poněšice Distillery underwent significant modernization – the original equipment was replaced by a copper distillation column made in the Czech Republic by Kovoděl Janča from Uherský Brod. Thanks to automated control, the entire distillation process is perfectly stable, precise, and free of disruptive fluctuations. The result is harmonious, smooth, and perfectly pure spirits.
