Metaxa 7 Stars Greek Riviera is a limited edition of the iconic Greek spirit, featuring a refreshed design inspired by the colors of the Aegean coast and the same perfectly balanced taste that Metaxa lovers know and love. It is created from a combination of fine wine distillates, sweet muscat wine from the island of Samos, and extracts of Mediterranean herbs, which blend together in an elegant, fruity-spicy harmony.
Tasting profile:
Color: Amber with copper highlights.
Aroma: Ripe peaches, dried plums, and floral notes, complemented by a light hint of honey and caramel.
Taste: Full-bodied, velvety and sweetly fruity – dominated by ripe fruit, caramel and subtle notes of muscat wine, which add depth and freshness to the taste.
Finish: Warm, long and balanced, with a lingering fruity and caramel aftertaste.
Serving:
Metaxa 7 Stars Greek Riviera is ideal as a summer aperitif, which stands out on ice or with tonic. With its vibrant design, Greek Riviera celebrates Greek lightness, the sea and the sun – and reminds us that every sip of Metaxa is like a short escape to the Mediterranean.
Origin and tradition:
The history of the Metaxa brand dates back to 1888, when Spyros Metaxa created a spirit that combined the strength of brandy with the delicacy of wine and the aroma of herbs – thus the first "Greek amber" was born.
Since then, Metaxa has proudly borne its name and remains a symbol of the Greek spirit, hospitality, and passion for life.
The family legacy was preserved by Despina Metaxa, who continued the tradition and development of the brand after the founder's death. Her work was continued by her sons, especially Andreas Metaxa, who created the legendary Metaxa Grande Fine style.
In modern times, the brand's development has been credited to master blenders Konstantinos Raptis (active until 2024) and the current Konstantinos Kalpaxidis, who created a new variation, Metaxa 5 Stars Greek Orange, in 2022.
