THAYA Moravian Muscat 2023 from the "Greetings from the National Park" series is a semi-dry white wine from the 2023 vintage with the cabinet designation. In the glass, it has a delicate greenish color and a typically aromatic expression that is beautifully legible in Moravian Muscat – expressive, yet still fresh and pleasantly drinkable.
The aroma is expressive and concentrated. You will find muscat blossom, citrus and elderflower, which gives the wine a very appealing "elderberry" note. The taste is juicy, with light residual sugar and balanced acidity, giving it a harmonious and refreshing impression. The taste is dominated by a distinctive elderflower syrup note, which beautifully complements the aroma.
Tasting profile:
Color: Delicate greenish.
Aroma: Muscat blossom, citrus, elderflower.
Taste: Juicy, light residual sugar, balanced acidity, elderflower syrup.
Conclusion: Fresh, harmonious.
Food pairing:
Pairs well with turkey breast with sage.
Basic information:
THAYA Winery:
The THAYA Winery is located in a unique place – on the outskirts of the village of Havraníky near the Dyje (Thaya) River, in a landscape where wine has been thriving for hundreds of years. The river, which was already known in pre-Celtic times (named after the Indo-European word "dheu" – flowing), is a symbol of the connection between people, tradition, and the place where THAYA wines are grown.
THAYA's philosophy is based on the belief that the time and care devoted to wine production must be evident in every drop. The winery strives to preserve traditional methods, but at the same time refines its wines using 21st-century technologies. The basic ranges are aged in stainless steel tanks, but the winery's great passion is wines aged in oak barrels. These come from France and Austria, and different barrel sizes, types of toasting, and wood drying times are chosen for each variety.
THAYA cultivates approximately 105 hectares of its own vineyards, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the winery and in the villages of Hnanice, Šatov, Havraníky, Vrbovec, and Dyjákovičky. The vineyards adjacent to the Podyjí National Park are prized for their sunny location (known since ancient Roman times).
