Product description

THAYA Frankovka rosé 2023 from the "Greetings from the National Park" series is a semi-dry rosé wine from the 2023 vintage with the late harvest designation. It is expressive yet balanced – ideal if you want a rosé with fruity juiciness, subtle residual sugar, and typical varietal "spice."

The wine has a lighter color. The aroma is layered, with distinctive notes of crushed strawberries and raspberries, which are noticeably complemented by the spiciness typical of Frankovka. THAYA Winery:

The THAYA Winery is located in a unique place – on the outskirts of the village of Havraníky near the Dyje (Thaya) River, in a landscape where wine has been thriving for hundreds of years. The river, which was already known in pre-Celtic times (named after the Indo-European word "dheu" – flowing), is a symbol of the connection between people, tradition, and the place where THAYA wines are grown.

THAYA's philosophy is based on the belief that the time and care devoted to wine production must be evident in every drop. The winery strives to preserve traditional methods, but at the same time refines its wines using 21st-century technologies. The basic ranges are aged in stainless steel tanks, but the winery's great passion is wines aged in oak barrels. These come from France and Austria, and different barrel sizes, types of toasting, and wood drying times are chosen for each variety.

THAYA cultivates approximately 105 hectares of its own vineyards, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the winery and in the villages of Hnanice, Šatov, Havraníky, Vrbovec, and Dyjákovičky. The vineyards adjacent to the Podyjí National Park are prized for their sunny location (known since ancient Roman times).
