Product description

Hendrick’s Gin is a distinctly unique Scottish gin that sets itself apart from classic gins with its unusual combination of cucumber and rose. Its recipe features eleven carefully selected botanicals, whose flavors are complemented by infusions of cucumber and rose petals. The result is a smooth, fresh, and complex gin with a characteristically balanced profile.

Production:

Hendrick’s Gin is created by blending spirits from two different types of stills—the Bennett Copper Pot Still and the Carter-Head Still. Each imparts a distinct character, and their combination helps achieve a smooth, rounded, and harmonious flavor.

The gin is produced in small batches, and the resulting distillate is then infused with rose and cucumber. It is this combination that is the brand’s hallmark and gives Hendrick’s its fresh, floral, and distinctive profile.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Clear.

Aroma: Fresh, aromatic, and delicately floral, with notes of juniper, citrus peel, rose, chamomile, and cucumber.

Taste: Delicate, round, and balanced. The juniper and herbal base is complemented by citrus notes, rose, and refreshing cucumber.

Finish: Clean, fresh, and delicately floral, with herbal and cucumber notes lingering on the palate.

Serving:

It shines best in a gin and tonic with high-quality tonic water, ice, and a slice of fresh cucumber.

About the Hendrick’s brand:

Hendrick’s is a Scottish gin brand owned by William Grant & Sons, launched in 1999. Its development was led by master distiller Lesley Gracie, who was tasked with creating a super-premium gin with a distinct and more complex character. The result is a gin combining eleven botanicals with an infusion of cucumber and rose.

Hendrick’s is produced at the Girvan distillery in Scotland using a historic 1860 Bennett copper still and a 1948 Carter-Head still. The spirits from both stills are blended to give the resulting gin its lightness, aromatic richness, and characteristic “roundness,” which Lesley Gracie considers one of its key features.

The producer is the family-owned company William Grant & Sons, founded by William Grant in 1887. Today, it is one of the leading independent producers of premium spirits and, in addition to Hendrick’s, also manages a number of well-known whiskey brands.
