J.P. Chenet Colombard Sauvignon 0,25L 11%

J.P. Chenet Colombard Sauvignon is a light and refreshing French white wine that combines the liveliness of the Colombard variety with the distinctive aromatic character of Sauvignon. The grapes come from the Gascony region in southwestern France, where aromatic white varieties thrive in soils dominated by clay and limestone.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness during the cooler part of the day and are then immediately pressed at a low temperature. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 16 to 20 °C for approximately 8 to 10 days. The wine is then filtered and stored at a low temperature in an oxygen-free environment to preserve its freshness and aromatic character.

Color: Clear and bright with golden highlights.

Aroma: Distinct citrus aromas of lime and grapefruit, complemented by subtle notes of white flowers that develop during fermentation.

Taste: Light, fresh, and lively, with the refreshing character of Colombard and the aromatic intensity of Sauvignon.

Recommended Serving and Pairing:

Serve chilled at 8 to 10 °C. This wine is ideal as an aperitif and pairs well with fish, white meat, shrimp, fresh vegetables, and cheeses, such as fresh goat cheese or Comté.

The story of J.P. Chenet began in 1984, when artist and entrepreneur Joseph Helfrich decided to create something completely new – a wine with personality, enclosed in a completely unusual bottle. Thus, Joséphine was born – a bottle with an iconic slanted neck and a distinctive shape, which became a symbol of the brand and a challenge for the glass industry.

J.P. Chenet brand was born out of a desire to bring a wine to the market that was affordable, reliable and original. The first two varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blanc de Blancs, quickly became popular and launched the brand's successful international journey. Initially, the wines were sold under the name J.P. Chanel, in honor of Jean-Paul Chanel, a close associate of Joseph Helfrich and co-creator of the brand.
