Product description

Pircher 1884 Dry Gin Pomelo is a fresh and aromatic dry gin from South Tyrol that combines a classic juniper base with the distinctive citrus flavor of pomelo. It is part of the Pircher 1884 line and bears the motto “From the Alps”—a gin born in the Alps that feels right at home in bars.

Tasting Profile:

Aroma: Juniper, citrus zest, pomelo, and aromatic herbs.

Flavor: Fresh and spicy, with dominant notes of juniper, pomelo citrus, cilantro, rosemary, and bay leaf.

Finish: Fresh, citrusy, and delicately spicy.

The foundation is the characteristic flavor of juniper, complemented by citrus zest, pomelo, and carefully selected botanicals. Well-known ingredients include bay leaf, coriander, and rosemary, while the producer keeps part of the recipe a secret. Pomelo adds a fresh, fruity, and slightly bitter citrus note that nicely balances the intensity of the juniper.

Serving:

The result is an intense, fresh, and spicy gin with a distinctive citrus character. It’s perfect for a Gin & Tonic, but it can also be used in other classic and modern gin cocktails.

About Pircher:

The distillery’s roots date back to 1884, when monks from the Order of the Teutonic Knights in Lana, South Tyrol began producing fruit spirits using traditional methods. This knowledge and these artisanal techniques form the foundation of the brand’s philosophy today.

In the mid-20th century, the historic monastery distillery passed into the hands of the Pircher family, marking an important milestone not only for the company itself but also for the entire region of South Tyrol. The combination of local tradition, entrepreneurial spirit, and a focus on quality led to the brand’s extraordinary growth.
