Product description

Dictador Rima Port 2000 is a limited-edition vintage rum from the Dictador Rima series, which continues the work of Master Blender Hernan Parry. This collection is built on carefully selected barrels and a thoughtful aging process in American oak, followed by further aging in port and sherry casks. The name Rima, meaning “rhyme,” refers to the harmony and interplay that is also reflected in the very taste profile of this rum.

Tasting Profile:

Nose: Deep notes of dark coffee, Robusto cigars, freshly chopped oak, and cloves.

Palate: A full-bodied flavor of coffee, oak, cigars, and vintage leather, complemented by black forest cake, cocoa powder, and hints of smoke.

Finish: Long and lingering, with notes of leather and cloves.

Dictador Rima Port 2000 will appeal to anyone looking for a distinctive and complex vintage rum with a darker character. It offers a rich flavor profile, a long finish, and a collector’s item limited edition that beautifully showcases the Dictador brand’s style.

About the Dictador brand:

Dictador was born in Colombia, a country famous not only for its coffee but also for its ideal climate for rum maturation. The result is a rum that appeals to collectors, lovers of rare editions, and lovers of sophisticated flavors.

The Dictador brand draws inspiration from Sever Arangoy, nicknamed "El Dictador," a Spanish official who oversaw the rum trade in Cartagena de Indias, the commercial center of the Spanish colonial empire in the 18th century. The brand is named after him, and this is where the story of Dictador as a rum with authority began.

The modern era of Dictador began in 1913, when the family business of the same name was officially founded. Since then, Dictador rum has been produced with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and long aging, now led by renowned master blender Hernan Parra, who is the third generation of the Parra rum family.
