Ardbeg Anthology The Harpy´s Tale is an exceptional whisky from the Ardbeg Anthology Collection from the Ardbeg distillery. Ardbeg Anthology The Harpy's Tale has been matured for 13 years in bourbon casks and the much-lauded Sauternes dessert wine casks. The result is a unique whisky that celebrates a mysterious creature, the mythical harpy, which according to the story was spotted on Islay by an Ardbeg distillery employee. (He swore it had the head of a man and the body of an eagle and could control a storm with the movement of its wings!) Ardbeg Anthology blends the unmistakable Ardbeg smoke with a delicate sweetness, and together they create the perfect balance.

Colour: Amber.

Aroma: Distinctly oily, evoking olive oil, bruiser wood, aromatic herbs (coriander and sage) and a hint of smoky citrus peel. A few drops of water will release even more more oily notes such as linseed oil, beeswax, carbolic soap and finally the scent of crème brûlée.

Taste: The delicate, oily and mouth-hugging texture delivers a rich, sweet and smoky flavour, with hints of oakmoss, molasses and aniseed pastilles. Complemented by notes of apricot and eucalyptus oil.

Finish: A long, sweet and smoky aftertaste, with hints of cumin, cardamom and a subtle hints of coconut.
