MIKAMAX Storm Glass - Large Drop

MIKAMAX Storm Glass Large Drop is an elegant, decorative storm glass that combines the history of meteorology, an intriguing natural effect, and modern interior design. Inside the large-drop-shaped glass vessel is a special liquid in which crystal structures form and change depending on the surrounding conditions.

Storm Glass is inspired by historical meteorological instruments used on 19th-century maritime expeditions. The shifting crystals are designed to react to changes in ambient temperature and other conditions. However, it is not a scientifically accurate barometer nor a reliable substitute for modern weather forecasting. Its main appeal lies precisely in observing the shifting crystal patterns.

Thanks to its larger size, the Large Drop version has a striking decorative effect and allows you to observe the crystallization process clearly. The glass drop is mounted on an elegant wooden base and looks great on a desk, shelf, dresser, or windowsill.

Usage:

After initial placement, the Storm Glass needs approximately two weeks to acclimate. For best results, place it near a window but away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with extreme temperature fluctuations.
