Chivas Regal Ultis is the first Blended Malt Scotch Whisky in the history of the Chivas Regal brand. Unlike classic Chivas blended whiskies, it contains no grain whisky but is created exclusively by blending five carefully selected single malt whiskies from the Speyside region: Strathisla, Tormore, Longmorn, Allt A’Bhainne, and Braeval. The edition was launched in 2016 as a tribute to the five generations of Master Blenders who have shaped the character of Chivas Regal since 1909.

Each of the five whiskies used brings its own character to the final blend. Tormore adds citrus freshness and orange notes, Longmorn a creamy vanilla-caramel profile, Strathisla fruity sweetness, Allt A’Bhainne subtle spice and malty notes, and Braeval a floral character with honeyed nuances. Less than one percent of the millions of casks in the Chivas Brothers stock were hand-selected for Ultis.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Dark gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Ripe peaches complemented by cinnamon, caramel, and honey.

Palate: A delicate vanilla texture with fresh notes of mandarin and apricot, followed by milk caramel, warming cloves, and slightly spicy ginger.

Finish: Long and rich with a subtle hint of heather.

Thanks to its rich and complex character, Chivas Regal Ultis is best enjoyed on its own, on the rocks, or with a few drops of water, which can help open up its aromatic profile.

Design and Packaging:

Ultis comes in an elegant gift box. The bottle’s design references the symbolism of the number five, which runs throughout the entire edition and recalls the five Master Blenders as well as the five single malt whiskies used in the final blend. The neck is adorned with five rings, and the Roman numeral V also appears in other details of the bottle.
