About the Pulteney Distillery:
Pulteney Distillery was founded in 1826 by James Henderson in the port town of Wick, Caithness. The distillery uses only two copper stills—one wash still and one spirit still—and the unusual shape of these stills contributes to the character of Old Pulteney whiskey. Thanks to its coastal location, the brand is known as The Maritime Malt, and its whiskeys are characterized by a subtly salty, maritime character.
