The Glenlivet 50 Year Old Winchester Collection Vintage 1967 is an exceptionally rare Scotch single malt whisky from Speyside and one of the most exclusive collector’s items in the history of The Glenlivet distillery. The whiskey was distilled in 1967, aged for at least 50 years, and bottled in 2018 at 48% ABV.

The package also includes a 0.05-liter tasting bottle containing the same 50-year-old whiskey. This allows collectors to sample the character of the Vintage 1967 without having to open the main numbered 0.75-liter decanter.

This edition marks the third release of the prestigious The Winchester Collection, named after longtime Master Distiller Alan Winchester.

The Winchester Collection Vintage 1967 was produced in an extremely limited run of 150 numbered bottles worldwide. This edition follows the previous vintages from 1964 and 1966 and represents one of the rarest whiskies The Glenlivet has ever released.

The whiskey was aged in American oak, and its creation drew upon exceptionally old stocks of The Glenlivet dating back to 1967. More than half a century of contact with the wood has created a deep, mature profile in which pronounced fruitiness intertwines with roasted nuts, chocolate, and an elegant oak character.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Dark amber.

Nose: Rich and fruity, with notes of apricot jam, sweet ripe peaches, and toasted almonds.

Taste: Exceptionally smooth and velvety, with pronounced sweetness and notes of orange fondant, milk chocolate, and matured American oak.

Finish: Long, luxuriously sweet, and complex.

Bottle and Packaging Design:

The exceptional nature of this whisky extends beyond the spirit itself. The packaging design was created in collaboration with British designer Bethan Gray, who crafted a luxurious presentation that pays homage to The Glenlivet’s history and artisanal traditions.

Each decanter was hand-blown, then cut, engraved, and decorated. The bottle’s design features a gradual color transition that symbolizes the whiskey’s long aging process.

The set also includes an elaborate presentation box with copper details inspired by The Glenlivet’s traditional stills. The decorative elements also reference the landscape and natural surroundings of the River Spey.
