Hennessy X.X.O is an exceptionally complex cognac that combines a robust structure with surprising smoothness and a long, aromatic finish. Its history dates back to 1870, when master blender Émile Fillioux created it alongside Hennessy X.O. More than a century later, Yann Fillioux, a seventh-generation member of the family of master blenders, returned to this exceptional category and reintroduced Hennessy X.X.O in 2018.

Nose: Rich and complex, with bitter orange, nutmeg, licorice, dried peppermint leaves, and subtle spices.

The character of this cognac is built on contrasts. Its rich and distinctive aroma gradually reveals herbal, citrus, and spicy notes. The nose features bitter orange, freshly grated nutmeg, licorice, dried peppermint, and delicate spices.

The palate is robust and structured, yet comes across as very smooth and refined. The individual layers gradually unfold on the palate and transition into an exceptionally long finish, in which an elegant spiciness lingers.

Hennessy X.X.O is best enjoyed neat at room temperature. The recommended serving size is approximately 4 cl. After pouring, let the cognac breathe in the glass for a moment; first, appreciate its aroma, and then savor the individual layers of flavor in slow sips.
