Avión is an indispensable player in the field of ultra-premium tequilas. This is also proven by their Avión Silver & Avión Reposado products. The base for production is 100% Weber blue agave from the Jalisco highlands of Jesús María, Mexico, which must be aged for at least 5 years before being hand-picked and harvested. The artisanal quality is maintained throughout every step of production. This is why the agave is then slowly roasted for two days in brick ovens for the perfect caramelisation that brings out the unique flavour of this particular variety. This is followed by careful double distillation in small batches to ensure the quality of the purest spirit. In the case of the Reposado variant, the spirit is then aged for a minimum of 3 months in oak casks. The alcohol content is 40%.
Avión Reposado is one of the ultra-premium golden tequilas. As with other Avión products, the raw material is 100% Weber blue agave from the Jalisco highlands of Mexico. Avión tequilas pride themselves on maximum quality, which is reflected in both the raw material and the production process. The hand-picked agave is first slowly roasted in brick ovens for two days to caramelize, followed by careful double distillation in small batches. After distillation, the tequila is aged for at least another 3 months in American oak barrels. This gives the final product a uniquely delicate floral flavour with notes of cherry, peach and pear, but also a hint of black pepper.
