Product description

Jose Cuervo Gold Especial is an iconic golden tequila that is not only a storyteller, but also a proud protagonist in the history of the popular Margarita cocktail. This tequila is the perfect choice to create this classic and beloved drink, thanks to its rich flavor and history that dates back to the invention of the Margarita. Choose Jose Cuervo Gold Especial for an authentic Margarita experience and become part of its unique story.

From traditional methods passed down through generations to the rich volcanic soil from which the blue agave comes, Jose Cuervo is distinguished by many aspects. For 250 years, they have been dedicated to producing top quality Jose Cuervo tequila, making them one of the best tequila producers in the world.

Jose Cuervo's history dates back to 1795, when Jose María Guadalupe de Cuervo began selling the first Vino Mezcal de Tequila de Jose Cuervo, following the first official permission to produce tequila commercially from the King of Spain. Since then, Cuervo tequila has been produced at La Rojeña, the oldest active distillery in Latin America.

The process of producing this tequila begins in the fields of the Tequila Volcano, where the agave grows for seven years before harvest. The agave kernels, known as 'piñas', are then carefully processed at La Rojeña distillery: roasted, ground and fermented before being distilled and aged in toasted barrels, creating the unrivalled flavour of our tequila.
