The Negroni cocktail was first created in 1919 at Caffe Casoni in Florence when Count Camillo Negroni asked the bartender to enhance his popular Americana gin with gin instead of soda water, resulting in this classic cocktail with its signature orange garnish.
Four Pillars SPICED NEGRONI Gin was developed in 2014 in a collaboration between Cameron Mackenzie, distiller of Four Pillars, and Jason Williams, one of the top ten bartenders in the world. Together they wanted to create a gin that would perfectly complement the bitterness and vermouth in Negroni.
This gin contains a unique blend of botanicals, including Tasmanian peppermint, cinnamon, grains of paradise, Indonesian cubeb and fresh ginger in a botanical basket, which work together to enhance its spicy profile and give it an unmistakable weight and intensity.
