Lahofer Müller Thurgau 2023 is a sweet white wine that will enchant you with its golden-greenish colour and captivating aroma, dominated by sweet honey together with fresh spiciness of nutmeg and coming from the vineyards of U Hájku.
The complex flavour combines traces of raisins, honey and candied fruit, while the slightly spicy finish is reminiscent of freshly cooked apple compote.
The wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes and a thoughtful winemaking process that highlights the typical characteristics of the variety while providing an exceptional taste experience.
Founded in 2003 in Znojmo, LAHOFER winery is today one of the leading wine producers in Moravia. It has been producing wines since the first three vintages between 2003 and 2005, and since 2006, when the new facility in Dobšice was opened, the capacity has increased to 800,000 bottles per year.
The inspiration for the winery's name comes from Jan Lahofer, an artistic carver from Dobšice whose works are known all over the world.
LAHOFER winery combines traditional methods with modern technology and produces wines from all the main Central European varieties, including a special range of French wines.
The wines of the Standard range, with their characteristic matte black label with red and silver accents, offer a wide selection from extra dry to naturally sweet variants, each with a unique character typical of the Znojmo wine sub-region.
About the LAHOFER Winery:
The LAHOFER Winery is one of the largest and most important wine producers in the Czech Republic. Its name refers to the artistic woodcarver Jan Lahofer, a native of Dobšice near Znojmo, whose work – a beautiful carved library – now adorns the Strahov Monastery in Prague. This story of honest craftsmanship and attention to detail became an inspiration for the winery itself.
The LAHOFER Winery was founded in 2003 and has been drawing on the rich winemaking tradition of the Znojmo region since its inception, combining it with modern technologies and a professional approach. Since 2006, it has been based in modern premises in Dobšice and produces its wine exclusively from grapes grown in its own vineyards – it currently cultivates over 430 hectares of vineyards in renowned areas such as Lampelberg, U Hájku, Babičák and Volné pole.
