About the Gorbatschow Brand:

Gorbatschow is a leading German vodka brand. During the October Revolution, Leo Leontowitsch Gorbatschow left his homeland with his family and moved to Berlin, where he began producing vodka on April 28, 1921. The brand name, the bottle with its bulbous base, and the blue label were registered as a trademark by L. Gorbatschow & Co. in 1923. Gorbatschow Vodka was particularly popular among the Russian exile community in Berlin.

The brand began to flourish outside of Berlin in the early 1950s thanks to the efforts of its new owner, A. Barth. In 1960, the brand was acquired by Söhnlein Rheingold KG, and thus became a globally sold product. Since 1975, the brand’s slogan has been “Des Wodkas reine Seele.”
