Product description

Etsu Japanese Gin is a craft Japanese gin inspired by an ancient recipe, whose name means "pleasure" in Japanese. It is distilled at the Asahikawa Distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido and stands out for its balance of botanicals and the purity of the water from Mount Taisetsu. Thanks to 22 hours of maceration, it gains greater depth, strength, and character.

Characteristics:

The recipe combines classic and typically Japanese botanicals: juniper, coriander, licorice, angelica, Japanese yuzu, and bitter orange peel. The result is a gin that is fresh, round and elegant, with a harmoniously structured citrus profile and a delicately spicy base. It is great in cocktails and with tonic water.

Matcha & Miso Sour

  • 50 ml Etsu The Original
  • 15 ml white miso liqueur
  • 15 ml La Matcha liqueur
  • 20 ml honey syrup
  • 25 ml fresh lime juice
  • 1 egg white or aquafaba
  • matcha powder or shiso leaf

Method: First, shake all ingredients dry to emulsify the egg white, then add ice and shake thoroughly again. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with matcha.
