Ron Colon Rum 0,7L 55,5% - Dark Aged Ron Colon is created thanks to unique recipe with three ingredients. The most important ingredient is six-year-old column still rum from El Salvador, produced directly in distillery Licorera Cihuatán. The other two ingredients are two Jamaican pot still rums from Worthy Park, one immature and the other one is three-year-old. Blend of these three rums create a specific profile of taste. The rum from El Salvador is characterized by tropical smell and light dry finale. This all is without added sugar.
Aroma of tropical fruit with intensive fresh banana and pineapple. Deeper smell of raisins and dried plums joins the aroma. The flavor brings not only the same tropical tones, but the warm and spicy taste of caramel, balanced crème milk chocolate, roasted almonds and tones of dried apricots too.
The distillery Licorera Cihuatán is a part of Ingenio La Cabaña of El Salvador, one of the biggest and oldest companies producing sugar in El Salvador. The rum is made from locally grown sugar cane, which is processed into molasses by 100-year-old machine. After 36 hours of fermentation the distillation comes in a modern column still. Rum ages in white oak barrels after bourbon.
