About the Albert Michler Brand:
The history of the Albert Michler brand dates back to 1863, when Albert Michler founded a factory in Buchsdorf, in what was then Austrian Silesia, to produce liqueurs, rums, and other spirits. It became famous primarily for its herbal liqueur, Original Buchsdorfer Magenbitter, and later also for its selection and blending of overseas rums.
The original company became a supplier to the imperial and royal courts as well as to the Austro-Hungarian Navy. However, its operations were brought to an end by the consequences of World War II and the subsequent political changes in Central Europe.
The current company, Albert Michler Distillery Int. Ltd., operates in the United Kingdom and carries on the legacy of the historic Silesian brand with respect for its heritage. It focuses primarily on rums from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic, in addition to which it also offers gin, absinthe, and other spirits.
