Don Papa Baroque. Baroko in old Filipino Tagalog means enthusiasm and zest for life. And it's one of the qualities that Don Papa's eponymous edition of the brand embodies. Don Papa is inspired by the revolutionary Dionis Magbuelas, also known as Don Papa, who led the fight against Spanish rule in the Philippines, and his dedication and enthusiasm.
Don Papa Baroque is made from molasses on the Philippine island of Negros, where some of the sweetest sugar cane in the world is grown. It is then aged for three to five years in bourbon barrels at the foot of Mount Kanlaon.
The resulting blend reflects the original character of the Don Papa brand, which is distinctive, rich and full of life.
Nose: rich notes of citrus and vanilla.
Taste: full-bodied, with notes of candied tropical fruit and honey.
Finish: long, strong finish with hints of raisins and burnt wood.
