He drew inspiration during his stays in the United Kingdom, where he developed a fondness for the classic dry style of this spirit. Upon returning to Colombia, he began experimenting with various combinations of botanicals until he created his own gin with a distinctive juniper and spicy character.

Ortodoxy was originally produced solely for his personal use. However, the recipe gradually became the foundation for the gin that the Dictador brand now offers to customers around the world.

The recipe combines berries, herbs, citrus peel, roots, and spices. The aroma is initially dominated by juniper and angelica, complemented by mint, lemon, and pepper. Notes of cinnamon, blueberries, and ginger gradually unfold.
