Ron Colón combines three components in a unique recipe. The most important of them is the six-year-old rum from El Salvador, which is produced in the local distillery Licorera Cihuatán. It is complemented by two Jamaican pot still rums: one three-year-old from the Worthy Park distillery and the other a blend of unaged rums from the Worthy Park, Hampden and Monymusk distilleries. The blend of these rums creates a specific flavor profile.
Rum from El Salvador is characterized by aromas of bananas, pineapple, raisins and prunes. The palate is also full of tropical fruit with spicy and caramel notes and a light dry finish. For a perfect balance, it had to be supplemented with earthier and warmer tones, which the addition of Jamaican rums perfectly fulfills. Rum has no added sugar.
