OUR ROOTS LIE IN CRAFT AND NATURE
For decades, craftsmanship, nature and tradition have been shaping Dictador's unique character and fostering its cultural heritage. In each of our projects, we delve deep into history, shape tastes and push boundaries. The TOTEM project, which promotes diversity of artistic expression as well as traditional approaches to art, is no different. This time we return to our roots and the Colombian jungle. It is here in the Putumayo region that folk artists have been decorating objects with resin from the mopa-mopa bush for thousands of years. This time the canvas for their creativity became Dictador bottles of the 40+ year old liquor dating from 1982-1988.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: A distinctly earthy and bold note, which brings notes of old oak, vanish and vintage leather. There are some notes of old books, too and flamed orange peel.
Palate: Rich and oily, this has a full flavour of big sherry, Christmas cake, oak, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and hints of orange peel. Delicious.
Finish: Long and full, rich with notes of all spice and clove
Producer's address: Distileria Colombiana, No. 3-122 Cartagena Bolívar, CO
