OUR ROOTS LIE IN CRAFT AND NATURE
For decades, craftsmanship, nature and tradition have been shaping Dictador's unique character and fostering its cultural heritage. In each of our projects, we delve deep into history, shape tastes and push boundaries. The TOTEM project, which promotes diversity of artistic expression as well as traditional approaches to art, is no different. This time we return to our roots and the Colombian jungle. It is here in the Putumayo region that folk artists have been decorating objects with resin from the mopa-mopa bush for thousands of years. This time the canvas for their creativity became Dictador bottles of the 40+ year old liquor dating from 1982-1988.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Freshly sawn oak with hints of pine nuts and ginger. Some notes of vanilla and lanolin, with a ginger rum cake. Freshly baked pastries.
Palate: Initially a big note of cinnamon followed by thick red grapes and blackcurrant leaves. This is backed by more of the rich ginger and some brown sugar.
Finish: Liquorice on the finish with cloves and some fresh tomato leaves
