Cachaça Magnífica Tradicional Ipê is a traditional Brazilian cachaça made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, which allows it to retain the fresh and authentic character typical of this category. This variant is aged for at least one year in barrels made of Brazilian ipê wood, which give it its own distinctive character.

Cachaça Magnífica is produced about 100 km from Rio de Janeiro in a pristine environment at an altitude of 800 m above sea level. The sugarcane comes from the producer’s own plantations, is harvested by hand, and pressed fresh using a century-old steam engine. Fermentation occurs naturally, and distillation takes place in a traditional triple-pot copper still Alegria, which is one of the few surviving distillation devices of its kind in Brazil.

About the Brand:

The Cachaça Magnífica brand was founded in 1985 by João Luiz de Faria. The name refers to his wife, who served as rector of a university in Rio de Janeiro, and is thus a tribute to her. João Luiz de Faria also played a significant role in shaping the legislation surrounding cachaça and in the development of this category in Brazil. Today, his sons Raul and Ana Luiz continue his work.
