The Pavlov Hills are surrounded on all sides by fertile vineyards and orchards. Apricot cultivation has been part of the local landscape since time immemorial and the apricots grown in these localities are among the best quality. That is why, in 2013, the company R. Jelinek purchased 81 hectares of apricot orchards in Starovice and Velké Němčice. The predominant variety here is the Velkopavlovická variety. The first ever vintage of Starovice apricot brandy was produced from the 2018 harvest. The sunny golden colour of the spirit is obtained by maturing in apricot wood barrels made from old trees also from Starovice. The Old Apricot has a wonderful aroma and a delicately sweet taste.
