Sierra Blanco / Reposado Twinpack is a gift set that combines the two most famous varieties of the legendary Mexican Sierra tequila – Blanco and Reposado. Both bottles feature the iconic sombrero on the cap and represent two distinct styles: the fresh, clear, and fruitier Blanco, and the smoother, golden Reposado with a hint of oak. The Sierra brand is produced at the family-owned Destilerías Sierra Unidas distillery in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, now in its fourth generation.
Production:
The basis of production is blue Weber agave, grown in the vicinity of Guadalajara at an altitude of around 1,600 m, where it thrives in mineral-rich red soil and a suitable climate. After harvest, the agave is processed, cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented using a family yeast strain, and the tequila is then distilled twice.
1. Sierra Tequila Blanco
Blanco is a clear tequila with a fruity and fresh character. The aroma is fruity and fresh with subtle notes of chili, and the taste reveals nuances of pepper, green apple, and ripe pineapple. It is a full-bodied, fruity, and aromatic variety, ideal, for example, for a classic tequila shot with salt and lime.
2. Sierra Tequila Reposado
Reposado has a golden color and a smoother, more complex profile. It has a fruity and spicy aroma and a flavor with notes of vanilla and caramel, as well as light woody and agave notes. Reposado is aged in oak barrels; suitable, for example, for serving with orange and cinnamon.
About the Sierra brand:
Sierra Tequila is a world-renowned Mexican tequila, a “100% original Mexican tequila” with a distinctive party character, distributed in more than 90 countries. Production is led by master distiller Rodolfo González González, who carries on a century-old tequila dynasty.
