OMG Oh My Gin is an original Czech London Dry Gin from the family-owned Žufánek distillery, which prides itself on meticulous work with botanicals, a high juniper content, and honest, handcrafted distillation. The result is a dry, complex, and distinctly characteristic gin that offers a unique take on the classic style, with an emphasis on purity and depth of flavor.

Characteristics:

The recipe is based on 16 carefully selected herbs and spices, which are distilled together, without any additional flavoring after distillation. This gives the gin a very cohesive, natural, and harmonious character. In addition to classic gin staples such as juniper, coriander, angelica, and calamus, it also contains less common ingredients, such as grains of paradise, cranberries, or linden blossom. It is the linden that gives the gin a delicate floral note and a pleasant roundness, which beautifully balances its dry juniper character.

Tasting Profile:

Nose: Distinctly juniper, spicy, and richly aromatic.

Palate: Dry, juniper-forward, with spicy depth and a delicate floral touch.

Finish: Long, clean, and distinctive.

• with tonic in a ratio of 50 ml gin : 120 ml quality tonic

If chilled below approx. 7 °C, slight cloudiness may occur. This is not a defect, but a natural phenomenon caused by aromatic oils from juniper.

About the Žufánek distillery:

The family-owned distillery ŽUFÁNEK s.r.o. was founded in 2000 by Marcela and Josef Žufánek together with their sons Martin, Josef, and Jan. It is located in Boršice u Blatnice near Uherské Hradiště, at the foot of the Bílé Karpaty protected landscape area – a region with an ideal microclimate for growing fruit.

The basis of production is the distillery's own 15-hectare orchard, which is run according to organic farming principles. Eight varieties of plums (such as Čačanská, Stanley, and Anna Späth), Williams pears, greengages, and Oblačinská sour cherries are grown here. The orchards are also gradually being expanded to include aromatic and medicinal herbs, which are mainly used in the production of gins and absinthes.

The heart of the distillery is a modern distillery with four 300-liter distillation columns. In addition to traditional boilers from Destila Brno, the distillery also uses state-of-the-art technology from the German brand Arnold Holstein, which allows for maximum preservation of the aromatic substances and character of the distilled fruit.
