Product description

Dictador Sinfonia Borbón 1999 is another masterpiece from the prestigious Dictador Vintages Collection, which represents the pinnacle of Colombian rum craftsmanship. Each barrel was personally selected by Hernan Parra, master blender and descendant of the famous Parra family. This limited edition (only 10–15 barrels, approx. 300 bottles per barrel) is a true tribute to time-honored craftsmanship and innovation. The result is a true collector's gem, created for those who seek authenticity, depth, and uniqueness.

Aging:

Dictador Sinfonia Borbón 1999 is first aged in American oak barrels and then finished in port and sherry casks. The aging process brings an unmistakable combination of caramelized wood, dried fruit, and warm spices, complemented by a velvety texture and a long finish that lingers on the palate long after the last sip.

Tasting profile:

Aroma: Playfully fruity and sweet – cherry candies, strawberry strings, licorice, **blackcurrant juice and a hint of fig leaves.

Taste: Distinctive and layered – dominated by notes of blackcurrant, followed by new spices, lemon zest and herbal nuances of thyme and rosemary.

Finish: Smooth and creamy with notes of banana, orange zest and delicate vanilla.

Dictador Sinfonia Borbón 1999 is the ideal choice for collectors and experienced tasters who appreciate the harmony between fruitiness, woodiness and spice, and are looking for a rum with a story, character and personality. It is a celebration of art and tradition, captured in every drop.

About the Dictador brand:

Dictador was born in Colombia, a country famous not only for its coffee but also for its ideal climate for aging rum. The result is a rum that appeals to collectors, lovers of rare editions, and connoisseurs of sophisticated flavors.

The Dictador brand draws inspiration from Sever Arangoya, nicknamed "El Dictador," a Spanish official who oversaw the rum trade in Cartagena de Indias, the commercial center of the Spanish colonial empire in the 18th century. It is after him that the brand is named, and it is here that the story of Dictador as a rum with authority began.

The modern era of Dictador began in 1913, when the family business of the same name was officially founded. Since then, Dictador rum has been produced with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and long aging, now led by renowned master blender Hernan Parra, who is the third generation of the Parra rum family.
