Lžínská pear schnaps Williams is the pride of the Lžín family distillery and rightly ranks among the most sought-after fruit distillates in the region. It is made from the Williams Čáslavka (Bartlett) variety – juicy, sweet, and aromatic pears that are considered the queen of pears for distilling. Originally popular in Alpine countries, it is now gaining popularity among Czech connoisseurs.
Characteristics:
Lžínská pear schnaps Williams is characterized by a delicate but distinctly typical aroma that is immediately recognizable to lovers of quality pear brandy. It is produced exclusively from Czech fruit with the utmost care and emphasis on traditional technology and precise fermentation, adhering to strict rules to preserve the natural aroma and taste.
Thanks to its exceptional quality and processing, Lžínská pear schnaps Williams is the perfect choice for festive occasions and as a gift for spirits connoisseurs.
About the Lžín distillery:
The distillery in Lžín has deep roots dating back to the 19th century, when it was part of a large estate owned by the Schönburg-Hartenstein noble family. While the original brewery ceased operations in 1881, the distillery remained in operation and became an important part of the local economy.
Originally an agricultural distillery focused on the production of raw alcohol from potatoes, it underwent a major transformation in 1971 when it was converted into a fruit distillery, heralding a new direction and quality of production. Until 1992, it operated as a major fruit processor in the region.
In 1996, the distillery was taken over by its current owner, who breathed new life into it. A modern fermentation room, a new distillery, and an alcohol warehouse were built, and the production of high-quality fruit distillates began. At the same time, the distillery opened its doors to small growers as a distillery, continuing the strong tradition of community distillation.
