The basis of this exclusive slivovice is a two-stage distillation of ripe plum mash, complemented by the secrets of an experienced master distiller. The resulting distillate is then aged for at least 12 months in new oak barrels, which give it its smoothness, complexity, and beautiful golden color. During this time, the flavor naturally rounds out and the fruity tones blend with vanilla, subtle wood, and sweet nuances more commonly found in barrique spirits.

About the Lžín distillery:

The distillery in Lžín has deep roots dating back to the 19th century, when it was part of a large estate owned by the Schönburg-Hartenstein noble family. While the original brewery ceased operations in 1881, the distillery remained in operation and became an important part of the local economy.

Originally an agricultural distillery focused on the production of raw alcohol from potatoes, it underwent a major transformation in 1971 when it was converted into a fruit distillery, heralding a new direction and quality of production. Until 1992, it operated as a major fruit processor in the region.

In 1996, the distillery was taken over by its current owner, who breathed new life into it. A modern fermentation room, a new distillery, and an alcohol warehouse were built, and the production of high-quality fruit distillates began. At the same time, the distillery opened its doors to small growers as a distillery, continuing the strong tradition of community distillation.
