Nueve B Tequila Blanco is a premium tequila that embodies the true heart of Mexico. Produced in the Los Altos de Jalisco region, known for its red clay soil and ideal climatic conditions, this tequila is the result of traditional methods and profound craftsmanship. The agaves that form the basis of this tequila are aged for between 8 and 12 years before reaching the ideal maturity for harvesting.
Hand harvesting and care:
Jimadores hand-harvest the agave, carefully slicing off the leaves with a machete so that only the heart of the plant, known as the piña, remains. These piñas are then cooked in traditional brick ovens for 54 hours, which prevents caramelisation and allows the flavours to develop fully.
Fermentation and double distillation:
After cooking, the piñas are extracted to produce a sweet nectar which is fermented in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts for more than 60 hours. Tequila Blanco is then distilled twice, ensuring its purity and delicate tone.
