Product description

Takamaka Rum Grankaz #2 is an exceptional example of Seychellois rum mastery from the prestigious St. André series. This exclusive rum is distilled using traditional pot still methods and aged in new French oak barrels with a light toasting. The result is a perfect blend with three-year-old rum from former bourbon barrels and eight-year-old Foursquare molasses rum from Bayan.

Takamaka Rum Grankaz #2 is bottled at 51.6% ABV, with no added sugar, no added coloring, and only very lightly filtered, ensuring that all the subtle and complex flavor nuances are preserved.

Grankaz #2 is characterised by a herbal and slightly floral aroma with hints of toasted vanilla, which transitions into a silky smooth character of stewed fruit and butterscotch. The complex layers of flavors give way to a long and smooth finish with notes of toasted oak.

Takamaka Rum Grankaz #2 Giftbox is an ideal choice for collectors and rum lovers looking for an authentic and unique experience. It is not only the perfect gift for special occasions, but also a great addition to any collection of premium spirits.

In 2000, inspired by the family tradition and his grandfather's skill in making Creole Arrangé Rum, Bernard and his father Robert set out to produce a quality rum. With improvised tools, including a swimming pool as a cooling tower and commonly available ingredients, they began experimenting at home. After a year of testing and development, joined by Bernard's older brother Richard, they founded Trois Frères Distillery in the Seychelles in February 2002. Overcoming the challenges of remoteness and harnessing their curiosity, the brothers perfected the production of rum, which has become not only a symbol of their family heritage but also an expression of their approach to life and work.
