Production and aging:

Diplomático Single Vintage 2007 is distilled exclusively using the pot still method from sugar cane honey. It is then aged for 12 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, single malt whisky barrels, and new American oak barrels. The final touch is provided by one year of aging in first-fill Oloroso sherry barrels, which give the rum delicate fruity nuances and depth.

Tasting profile:

Color: Dark amber with deep golden highlights.

Aroma: Rich and complex, dominated by vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, and a subtle hint of sherry. In the background, you can detect subtle notes of oak and light smokiness.

Taste: Harmonious and full – smoked wood, dark chocolate, coffee, followed by sweet vanilla and ripe fruit. The texture is smooth and oily, with perfectly balanced sweet and woody notes.

Finish: Long, smooth and elegant. It carries notes of red fruit, nuts and residual sherry tones, with a delicate aftertaste.
