Old Bert Summer Spice is a limited edition summer rum spirit from Albert Michler Distillery that pays tribute to the brand's founder, Albert Michler, nicknamed "Old Bert". This hand-crafted Jamaican pot still rum is infused with a natural macerate of spices and tropical fruits to offer a refreshing and perfectly balanced taste experience.
Characteristics and Tasting Profile:
The base is 100% Jamaican pot rum, which is macerated with ingredients such as Persian lime, clove, cardamom, ginger, red grapefruit and guava.
Aroma: Intense aroma typical of rum, complemented by fresh notes of citrus and tropical fruits.
Taste: Delicately sweet, fruity, citrusy and slightly spicy. It is dominated by notes of grapefruit, guava and spices, which give the spirit its unmistakable summer character. With 55 g of sugar per litre, the rum is perfectly rounded and harmonious.
Serving:
We recommend serving it neat, on the rocks or with soda water.
Bottle design:
The bottle label is a work of art in itself - hand-painted by a young artist, inspired by a sunset on the Jamaican coast. It depicts the imaginary world of old Bert, who remains hidden behind a top hat. The design in tones of purple, red, orange and black perfectly captures the atmosphere of this exceptional rum.
About Albert Michler:
Albert Michler is one of the oldest rum brands of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was founded in 1863 in Silesia, now the Czech Republic. In its time, it supplied rum and liqueurs to the Imperial Court and the Austro-Hungarian Navy, and was also famous for its legendary herbal liqueur "Original Buchsdorfer Magenbitter".
After World War II, the original production was discontinued, but the spirit of the brand lives on. Today's Albert Michler Distillery operates in the UK, where it continues the glorious tradition of producing premium rums and liqueurs from the finest ingredients. The rums are sourced from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago and the Dominican Republic, blended by hand in small batches, preserving the most precious of the historical legacy.
