Pleasant agave notes, a delicate smoky aroma, a velvety texture: there's no doubt that if you want to enjoy the typical characteristics of a mezcal without the frills, Local Mezcal is the right choice. What's more, the distillate is an offer to all those who want to immerse themselves in the world of mezcales for the first time. Maestro mezcalero Leonel Hernández follows the motto “fruit instead of meat”: Local Mezcal is made like a traditional pechuga. But instead of a chicken breast, Hernández hangs agave hearts and a fruit cocktail of bananas, apples, peaches and oranges in the still during distillation. The result? A pleasant freshness that comes into its own both neat and in mixed drinks.
