Metaxa 5 Stars is created by combining muscat wines from the islands of Samos and Lemnos, whose different characters create perfect harmony:

• wines from Samos bring a ripe and fruity tone,
• while wines from Lemnos add lightness and freshness.

These wines are blended with wine distillates aged in oak barrels and a selection of Mediterranean herbs and flowers that are macerated in wine alcohol throughout the year.

Metaxa 5 Stars Bitter Lime Soda

• 5 cl Metaxa 5 Stars
• 1 drop Angostura bitters
• ¼ fresh lime
• Sparkling water to top up

The history of the Metaxa brand dates back to 1888, when Spyros Metaxa created a spirit that combined the strength of brandy with the smoothness of wine and the aroma of herbs – thus giving birth to the first "Greek amber".

Since then, Metaxa has carried its name with pride and remains a symbol of the Greek spirit, hospitality, and passion for life.

The family legacy was preserved by Despina Metaxa, who continued the tradition and development of the brand after the founder's death. Her work was continued by her sons, especially Andreas Metaxa, who created the legendary Metaxa Grande Fine style.

In modern times, the brand's development has been credited to master blenders Konstantinos Raptis (active until 2024) and the current Konstantinos Kalpaxidis, who created a new variation, Metaxa 5 Stars Greek Orange, in 2022.
