The result is a profile that is complex, fruity, and floral, yet smooth and very drinkable.
Production:
The base is rum, which is re-distilled with 16 natural botanicals, selected according to the alchemical doctrine of the four elements – fire, earth, water, and air. The recipe includes, for example, cinnamon, lime, bergamot, elderflower, orange blossom, vanilla, sloe berries, and ginger. The distillate is then aged in Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels, which gives it greater depth, smoothness, and a richer aromatic character.
The aroma and taste develop notes of dark chocolate, creamy honey, floral orange blossom, and sweet red berries. It is this combination that makes MUNAKRA Rum & Botanicals Cask Aged an interesting choice not only for rum lovers, but also for those who enjoy more complex botanical spirits and want to discover something new.

MUNAKRA is a Viennese brand of handcrafted spirits, whose name was created as an anagram of the Latin word for "secret". It is precisely this mystery, botanical alchemy, and emphasis on natural ingredients that form the basis of the brand's entire identity. MUNAKRA combines the art of distillation with a unique story, creating gin and botanical rum from carefully selected botanical ingredients.
The brand's story began in Vienna with an old copper pot belonging to their grandfather, a passion for gin, and a mystical experience that gave rise to the brand's entire philosophy. While preparing their first distillation attempt, Sarah and René discovered a blue snake in the woodshed – a special moment that inspired the creation of a spirit that would be just as mysterious and unforgettable.
Each MUNAKRA spirit is the result of long experimentation and work with more than 16 botanical ingredients. Production takes place traditionally in a 150-liter copper distillation kettle to best bring out the purity and authenticity of the flavors. Each bottle is hand-filled, labeled, sealed, and numbered, making it an original piece with its own character.
